Dear Cousin William

Before I forget - which is one of my bad habits - I want to send you a cheque for the 3 photographs I took away, and the 3 you said you would be kind enough to have printed at the Historical Society for me ($2.25).

I forgot to say that I had called Wed about the portfolios, one of which must contain the water color of the old house. One of them is at New Rochelle but he does not know if the sketch is in it. He proposes to motor me over some day to search and then, if it is not there, we will know that it is in another portfolio at the storage place in Poughkeepsie - where you are most welcome to look for it if you think the sketch is worth the trouble. I think I told you that only a [ring?] was still standing in my day.

I enjoyed my visit so much, and it was a joy to look over your treasures. Thank you too for the Breese book, but I don't think that should be a gift, so I will read it and then return it to you.

Yours sincerely

Mary Montgomery
