Her husband became Patroon of the Manor of Rensselaerwyck in 1765, died 1769.

Her son, Albany Mayor Philip Schuyler Van Rensselaer, Henry's 3rd cousin, married Henry's 1st cousin, Anne De Peyster Van Cortlandt, the daughter of Henry's aunt Alida and her husband, General Pierre Van Cortlandt, the first Lieutenant Governor of New York.

After the death of her first husband, Catherine married a minister of the Albany Dutch Reformed Church, who died in 1790.
Her son, Rensselaer Westerlo, married Jane Lansing in 1805, the daughter of Chancellor John Lansing and Cornelia Ray. Jane was the 1st cousin of Judge Robert Ray Lansing, the second husband of Henry's daughter Eliza (whose 1st husband was U.S. Supreme Court Justice Smith Thompson).
